so i just finished a griffon run and and a guy who obviously speaks little english comes up and says "u buy"....so i look its a gold unid req 9 wingblade...he says 12k ok ok...i place 12k in the offer slot, than change to 12 gold than change to 50k and repeat over and over again pretending i dont speak english. he finally gives up and goes away..Who are these guys ? there everywhere in augry rock? are they bots?

They're simply other people who want to sell their items to corresponding professions. Same thing has happened to me and most likely many others as well. When I'm stuck in that situation, I just simply submit 0gp and accept the trade. But I've never gotten any free items like that, shucks :P.

Not sure, but I think they're bots. I've ran into like 20 different people, and they come up to me out of nowhere, put a gold unidentified weapon or shield in the trade screen and say "(amount of gold) ok?" I've tried talking to them but they don't respond.

I've bumped into a couple of these. They seem to typically sell unidentified gold weapons for reasonable prices. They test them for mods and then sell off the less-than-perfect stuff. I tested a couple of bows and found it was pretty easy to tell which was the vampiric. I'd say they are harmless farmers, probably working somewhere in the third world. Their English is a little off, but they seemed nice enough. I just hope they aren't being kept in a sweatshop somewhere ...still...I got two pretty cool bows...*sighs* goes off topic here----->...I remember a time when games weren't so wrought with moral dilema, though, a friend of mine obtained a dubious copy of "Defender" (all in BASIC) and we spent the better part of a week typing in the 1500+ lines of code so we could play on the school's brand new TSR 80....while the possible violation of copyright was hanging over our heads, we enjoyed hours of game-play <---old guy gets over nostalgic moment here.

theyre chinese sweatshop farmers. they farm grifs (botted), with people watching to make sure anet doesnt ban them. the people are also there to sell whatever unid weps they get. they get paid like nothing.

That happens to me all the time.
Mostly from Monks. They jst show up out of no where.
I'll be in Ascalon, L.A or in Forge. Then all of a sudden a trade
window pops up. I click on the trade and it's a unidentified weapon/item.
When I try to talk to the seller. I get no response.
Does anyone knows who the hell these Monks are?

from what i've seen (yes the monks mostly) they have the "apple" as their surname just like (well think of different colors of apples ok..)

Red and Yellow Apple were two famous ones, but I think they dropped out for a bit. Anyways these are just foreign farmers. They farm constantly and sell any unid they recieve to random people. Alot of gold from websites that give gold for real cash come from people like this.

I've had a couple of interesting encounters during my Aurgery farming.

1) Some random person requested a trade, and when I clicked "View", they offered 3 seemingly identical 16AL 9 Req gold unided Eternal Shields. Nowhere did he talk to me to request a price. Just a blind offer. I knew I didn't have enough, so I just cancelled and moved on.

2) Some guy was just standing at the griffon exit waving at people as they ran by. I decided to stop and wave. He then requested a trade. He ends up giving me 100g. Just for waving back.

I was in droks the other day and had just gotten up to storage when all of a sudden an unsolicited trade window pops up. I figure it is a mistake from someone trying to click on the storage agent and got me by mistake so I just cancel.

A second later it pops up again. So out of curiosity I hit ok and wait to see what pops up. Something nice, and identified Ranger weapon, can't remember what it was now. So I just hit the submit offer with no gold, since he didn't bother to communicate first. He cancels. I start to walk away it comes up again.

I cancel, and walk away and it hits me again, then starts following me. Are these bots?

I bought an axe grip of enchanting off of one of the "apple" accounts last night in LA. I actually had a sort of conversation with him/her.

I was putting up buying message and after a while saw someone say there were selling. So I pm them to ask "How much for the axe grip?" The response I got was not intelligible. Then they started pm'ing back saying axe grip. Yes, I want to know how much. I sell. I got that, I wan't to know how much money you want for it. Next comes the outrageous price. I say no. A few seconds later they come back with lowered price. I reoffer lower and immediately they say ok. Done deal.

Thank god for guildies. I don't like wading out into the trade spam too much.

The other time.. some chineese guy comes up to me in TOA and offers to trade. I open up the trade window for curiosity. He offers 168 gold. I click accept. He gives me the gold. Just like that.

these are the fool idiot bots that are damaging the market by selling gold on ebay and other services... they have 100s of users farming 24/7 for all kinds of crap then selling for whatever they can get for it and relaying gold to their bosses for resale... This makes anet be forced to nerf areas being used for farming, and skills being used... damaging the rest of the PvE community for the rest of time... These accounts should be reported on sight so they may be banned. These worthless people do this as a job. typical sweat shop conditions... and it makes me sick beyond all comprehension.

All this means is that Augry rock will soon be nerfed to death just like 90% of the rest of the farming sites have been already... And all cause these jerks can not get it through their worthless minds that this is not to be done on the Guild wars network. For that matter its not to be done in any MMORPG, but its been a plague since inception. and as long as people continue to use them (and hopefully get their butts reset for their efforts... good bye fame, good bye unlocks, good bye gold , good by inventory...) They will continue to force Arenanet to nerf farming areas and make it harder to get gold for a regular honest player...
